These Chai Doughnut Balls are super delicious and super fast! Perfect if you’re on the go, need a quick and instant snack and oh so tasty.
The combination of spices in Chai aid in digestion, energy, and metabolism and not to mention high is many vitamins and minerals for a ball that’s good for your wellness inside and out. The addition of protein will help keep you full for longer so these are the perfect spicy treat for your 3pm slump or for the kids when they get home so they don’t ruin their dinner (we have all been there!)
If you are right into your spice mixes don’t be shy, add some additional to suit your taste!
Raw, Low GI, Vegan, dairy, gluten & Refined Sugar Free
Makes: approx. 8x 22g bites

75g raw macadamias
1 tbs coconut flower nectar
1 tbs coconut oil, melted
1 tbs coconut flour
1 tbs almond meal (or additional coconut flour)
1 1tsp vanilla bean paste
30g vegan protein powder*
1 tbs natural almond butter/spread
Roll through a combination of Coconut Magic Coconut Sugar and Cinnamon or through cinnamon spices cacao powder or coconut.
What to do:
1. Combine all your ingredients except the almond butter/spread into a mini food processor and blend well.
2. Add the almond butter and mix in with a spoon this will create a light ripple that looks lovely for presentation (you can omit this step and add straight to the processor to speed it up!)
3. Roll into desired sized balls, I made 8x 22g balls. You can then roll through your desired coating or leave as is!
4. Best stored in the fridge but freeze well!
Chai is a combination of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, cardamom, all spice, ginger and pepper you can make your own at home or buy pre mix powder. ‘
*Use if you can cinnamon or chai flavored protein. Alternatively use vanilla and add 2tsp cinnamon or chai spice depending on taste preference.
