This green smoothie will make you feel as though you are sitting beachside with the sun shining on your face... The wonderful combination of zucchini, mango and coconut oil will nourish every cell in your body with vital phytonutrients ... Enjoy this as a snack, breakfast, or after-meal sweet treat :)
1-2 cups of kale leave removed from the stem - can be replaced with 2 cups of baby spinach
1/2 large zucchini
1 cup + 1/3 cup coconut water
1/2 mango - can be replaced with 1/2 a banana
1 tsp maca
1 tsp wheatgrass
2 tsp coconut oil, slightly melted
2 tsp coconut nectar
1 tbsp chia seeds
1-2 cups of ice, depending on how cold you prefer it
Optional 1-2 tbsp of avocado
What to do:
1. Blend the kale, zucchini and 1 cup of coconut water in the blender at high speed until the greens break down and are smooth.
2. Stop the blender and add in all other ingredients including the additional coconut water, with the ice cubes being placed on top.
3. Blend until smooth - should take up to a minute before it's smooth enough to drink!
